JIM WAKEFIELD
THE BUSINESS BRAIN
swapping the office
for the cider barn!
Before co-founding Pulpt, Jim Wakefield lived an entirely different professional life , the kind with spreadsheets, meetings and clean shirts.
He swapped that world for something far more flavour-driven and hands-on: building a modern cider brand from the ground up. Jim helped shape Pulpt with the belief that cider should be made with care and character, nothing contrived, nothing mass-market.

QUALITIES
Jim is the sort of co-founder who leads with his head as much as his palate, heavy on logic, big on taste integrity, and armed with enough knowledge to call out bad cider at any time.
He’s not the wild gambler type; he prefers decisions that are thought through, tested, and rooted in what makes sense for quality.
Experience he’s been building fast, but flavour conviction has been there from day one, he’s a purist first, a strategist second, and someone who won’t release anything unless it meets the standard he set when he walked away from the safe career route.
